Website measurement
Website analytics status is loading.
door.lease uses website analytics, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to understand page traffic, launch interest, clicks, scrolling, heatmaps, session replay, and broken or confusing paths. Understanding room lock
door.lease uses a locking system to protect the integrity of your official move-in and move-out records. When a room is unlocked, you have full control. Once a room is locked, its photos and room data become part of the condition record and cannot be individually changed or removed from that record.
Full control
- Delete individual photos
- Retake and replace photos
- Edit room notes
- Remove entire rooms
Record protected
- Cannot delete individual photos
- Cannot edit room records
- Can still delete the property
- Deleting the property removes its records and photos
What you can delete
Individual Photos Before lock only
While a room is unlocked, you can delete photos from within the room view in the app. Once a room is locked, individual photos stay with the condition record. To remove locked photos, delete the property or delete your account.
A Property and All Its Data Permanent
You can delete a property at any time, even after rooms are locked. Deleting a property removes its rooms, reports, dispute records, shared report access, photos, and media from your account and active storage. If the property has payment history, anonymized transaction records may be retained for financial compliance.
Your Entire Account Permanent
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Security → Delete Account in the app. If you cannot access the app, you can also start a deletion request by emailing [email protected] from the email address on your account. Account deletion starts after identity verification and removes your properties, rooms, reports, photos, media, and personal information from your account and active storage. If you have made purchases, anonymized transaction records may be retained for financial and legal compliance.
What happens to shared reports
If you have generated a move-in or move-out report and shared its link, deleting the property also invalidates that report link. Anyone with the link will no longer be able to view the report. If you are actively using the record for a dispute or claim, consider keeping the property until that matter is resolved.
GPS & location data
Each photo taken in door.lease can store location details as part of the condition record when you grant location permission. The app may also store property latitude and longitude when you use GPS, map, address lookup, or pin features to confirm a property location. Photo location data is deleted when you delete a photo before lock or delete the property. Property location data is deleted when you delete the property or delete your account. We do not track your location in the background.
How to delete your data

- Delete a property — Go to the property screen, tap the menu icon, and select Delete Property. Available at any time.
